SMK Negeri 1 Kaligondang Purbalingga has the vision to create human resources who have noble character, entrepreneurship, care for the environment and have a global perspective. As well as the mission of SMK Negeri 1 Kaligondang are:

  1. Improve the human resources rooted in the religious and cultural norms of the nation
  2. Develop a school of entrepreneurship
  3. Create a school environment that has ‘adiwiyata’ perspective
  4. Develop education with a global perspective

SMK N 1 Kaligondang was built in 2004. At the beginning, it is a small school that was based in SMP Negeri 1 Kaligondang. In 2007, SMK Negeri 1 Kaligondang finally has its own building which is now located at Jalan Raya Selanegara, Kaligondang, Purbalingga, Central Java. Now, it has been growing to a big school and has developed into national level since it has won some championships.

Now SMK Negeri 1 Kaligondang is led by the principal, Mr. Trisna Widada, S.Pd. It has teachers and employees who are competent in their fields. There are 95 teachers and 32 employees. SMK Negeri 1 Kaligondang has 9 skill competencies. As many as 1,767 students are divided into 51 classes for 3 grades. The nine competency majors are:

  1. Teknik Pemesinan (TP)
  2. Teknik Pengelasan (TPL)
  3. Teknik Kendaran Ringan Otomotif (TKRO)
  4. Teknik dan Bisnis Sepeda Motor (TBSM)
  5. Akuntansi dan Keuangan Lembaga (AKL)
  6. Multimedia (MM)
  7. Desain Grafis (DG)
  8. Teknik dan Manajemen Perawatan Otomotif (TMPO)
  9. Tata Boga (TB)

Currently, SMK Negeri 1 Kaligondang has ‘A’ as the accreditation. It shows the seriousness of this school in realizing the vision and mission of SMK Negeri 1 Kaligondang.
